Based in Luanda, TAAG Angola is fully state-owned and operates a good mix of domestic services, as well as medium-haul routes to many other points in Africa, including Namibia, South Africa, Nigeria, Mozambique and Kenya. While services have been limited due to COVID-19 restrictions, long-haul international destinations include major cities across Brazil, Cuba, Portugal, Germany, France and the Netherlands. The airline has a 70-year service record and reached the 1-million passenger mark in 1986. TAAG is a critical transport link for Angola, known for its natural resources. However, the inbound tourism industry is also working to grow international arrivals. Angola is characterised by its vast, untouched landscape, unique culture and wildlife.
