AirlinePros

Guatemalan flag carrier TRANSPORTES AEREOS GUATEMALTECOS (TAG) has named AirlinePros as their General Sales Agent (GSA) in Canada. As their GSA, AirlinePros will be responsible for the airline’s marketing and sales, business promotional activities, special advertising, and publicity requirements, and customer service in the Canadian market. This is in addition to the BSP Coordination Program which AirlinePros has been providing the airline in Canada already. AirlinePros is also TAG’s GSA in the USA.

“We have a longstanding relationship with AirlinePros in the United States,” said Julio Gamero, CEO, of TAG Airlines. “As the flag carrier of Guatemala and Mundo Maya, we are going through an era of growth and strengthening our services along with our fleet renewal program and adding to the number of destinations. In this, we are glad to have the expertise, dedication, and resources of a leading GSA like AirlinePros.”

Just recently TAG received a new ATR 72 – it’s second – increasing and modernizing its total fleet strength– in line with the carrier’s aim to expand connectivity in Central America and Mexico.

“TAG Airlines has maintained a firm commitment to air connectivity and commercial development of Central America for over 60 years,” said Shreyas Nanavati, Deputy CEO, AirlinePros. “There is a lot of collaborative development and tourism between Guatemala and Canada with thousands traveling between the two countries on work, leisure, and business across sectors. We will be able to build a strong profile of TAG in the Canadian market and enhance traffic to this land of rainforests and the famed Mayan heritage.”

More aircraft are expected to join the growing fleet, making TAG the airline with the biggest connectivity in Central America and southern Mexico. As Guatemala’s flagship carrier, TAG also contributes significantly through its various responsibility initiatives supporting numerous projects and people in vulnerable situations.
