  • Press Release: XL Airways Awarded Best Leisure Airline in France by Skytrax

French carrier XL Airways was named ‘Best Leisure Airline in France’ by Skytrax at its prestigious 2018 ‘World Airline Awards’, held in London, on July 17, 2018.
Skytrax reported that over 20 million passengers from across the globe submitted their votes, based on satisfaction of the product and staff service standards that leisure airlines deliver to customers on board and at the airport.
“This first Skytrax award for XL Airways recognizes the work of everyone in our team,” said XL Airways CEO Laurent Magnin. “Our entire staff, on the ground and onboard, embodies our values and identity, which includes professionalism, outstanding service, and French-style hospitality. This is an exciting time at XL Airways, and we will continue to improve our efforts to deliver the best products and services to our customers, to remain the passenger’s airline of choice.”
A pioneer in the development of long-haul low fare flights in France, XL Airways has launched several initiatives to make travel accessible to everyone. XL Airways became the first French airline to roll out a wireless entertainment platform, XL Cloud, which enables passengers to stream movies, TV shows, and access media coverage on their own electronic devices.
XL Airways flies seasonally to the U.S., into four gateways: LAX, SFO, MIA, and JFK on modern Airbus aircraft. Dedicated to providing great value for passengers, XL Airways always includes a free checked-in bag and meal with any ticket.
