We are currently looking for a Social Media Marketing Manager to join our exceptionally talented Marketing and Communications team. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to leverage your creativity and strategic insights to drive our social media presence and engage our diverse customer base.  

Responsibilities 

Develop and Implement Social Media Strategy

  • Create strategic marketing plans to enhance the company’s presence on social media platforms.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team to align social media strategies with overall business goals. 

Content Creation and Management

  • Develop engaging, creative, and innovative content for regularly scheduled posts, which enlighten audiences and promote brand-focused messages.
  • Oversee the design (e.g., social media graphics, video) and copywriting of social media posts.
  • Schedule and organize the posting calendar to ensure consistent and relevant content flow.

Campaign Management

  • Plan and execute digital marketing campaigns on various social media platforms and measure their effectiveness.
  • Manage promotions and ad campaigns, coordinating with relevant departments to ensure accuracy and timely execution.  

Engagement and Community Building

  • Monitor, listen, and respond to users in a “social” way while cultivating leads and sales.
  • Develop and expand community and/or influencer outreach efforts.

Analytics and Reporting

  • Analyze key metrics and tweak strategy as needed.
  • Compile reports for management showing results (ROI) of campaigns.
  • Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points.

Crisis Management

  • Monitor discussions and trends within the community. Manage company social media profiles and presence to address customer concerns and feedback promptly.
  • Handle social media emergencies or crises effectively, using good judgment and professionalism.

Collaboration and Coordination

  • Work closely with sales, customer service, and other department leaders to ensure a cohesive and consistent message across channels.
  • Coordinate with the Marketing and Communications team to ensure timely distribution and effectiveness of marketing materials.
  • Any other responsibilities as may be assigned.

Experience Required

Professional Experience

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in social media management, digital marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of creating and implementing successful social media campaigns.

Educational Background 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, New Media, or a related field is preferred. 

Technical Skills  

  • Strong familiarity with the major social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.), as well as scheduling tools like Hootsuite, Buffer, or Sprout Social.
  • Proficiency in using social media analytics tools and the ability to derive actionable insights from complex data.
  • Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Canva) and basic video editing software would be a plus.

Communication and Creativity  

  • Excellent writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation, and communication skills.
  • Adept at creative content creation that resonates with targeted audiences.

Strategic Thinking  

  • Demonstrated ability to develop strategic marketing plans and think creatively about new marketing initiatives.

Teamwork and Leadership  

  • Experience leading a team or managing cross-functional projects.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.

Industry Knowledge  

  • Knowledge of online marketing and a good understanding of major marketing channels.
  • Previous experience in the airline, travel, or tourism industry is advantageous but not mandatory.

This is a full-time position based out of our Kochi office in Kerala – currently on hybrid mode. The selected candidate will be required to work out of the office as and when required.
