David Paterson is a seasoned aviation professional with extensive experience spanning over two decades. He began his career with British Midland and continued his journey at Flybe, serving in various sales and alliances roles.
As Head of Regional Sales, David led the field sales teams across the UK and Europe, driving business growth and strengthening client relationships. When Flybe acquired Finnish Commuter Airlines, he spearheaded sales campaigns in Finland, Sweden, Denmark, and Estonia, aiming to establish Flybe Nordic as the leading regional airline in the Nordic and Baltic region. His deep understanding of the aviation industry and his ability to identify and develop synergies significantly enhanced Flybe’s performance.
In his role as Head of Alliances, David’s negotiated and implemented codeshare and interline agreements with multiple airlines, broadening Flybe’s network and optimizing passenger connectivity.He has been instrumental in cultivating strategic partnerships with airlines and industry stakeholders, expanding Flybe’s global footprint, developing new routes, and improving the overall travel experience.
