Located in the South Pacific, just north of Australia, Papua New Guinea (PNG) is home to more than 750 tribes and miles of untouched natural beauty, ranging from majestic waterfalls and verdant valleys to sun-kissed islands and coral reefs.
Air Niugini, Papua New Guinea’s national carrier, partnered with the PNG Tourism Board to promote the ‘Spirit of Papua New Guinea’, in a series of cultural activities throughout Southern California, July 27 – 29, 2017. Events included the ‘Spirit of Papua New Guinea’ festival in Marina del Rey, the ‘Living Art Showcase’ at the Pacific Island Ethnic Museum in Long Beach and at the Bowers Museum in Santa Ana, concluding with ‘A Feast of Oceanic Proportions’, a festive dinner, highlighting the South Pacific cuisine.
