Commencing this month, Russian airline UTair Aviation is to launch new services at Kaluga, a city located in the central part of European Russia (“cradle of the Russian Space Exploration”). Five new routes are planned, all being operated with ATR72 aircraft:
Kaluga – Adler/Sochi (starting Apr 03, 2018, 2 x weekly)
Kaluga – Krasnodar (starting Apr 01, 2018, 1 x weekly)
Kaluga – Mineralnye Vody (starting Apr 05, 2018, 1x weekly)
Kaluga – Moscow Vnukovo (starting Mar 08, 2018, 1 x daily)
Kaluga – St. Petersburg (starting Apr 02, 2018, 3 x weekly)
UTair carried 7.297 million passengers in 2017, up 9.6% year-on-year, ceding its fourth position on the list of Russia’s largest carriers to Ural Airlines. The traffic target for this year is 8.2 million passengers (up 12% on the 2017 results). The airline expects its revenue from passenger operations to reach or exceed 60 billion rubles ($1 billion). The carrier currently operates more than 60 aircraft, including ATR 72-500s, Boeing 737-400s, -500s and -800s, as well as Boeing 767-200 wide-bodies.
