ARC Reports Total Airline Transactions Increased 5.8% in 2016

The ARC (Airline Reporting Corp.) recently announced that the value of airline tickets sold by U.S. travel agencies in 2016 decreased by 3% compared to 2015.  The decrease in airline ticket pricing is partially attributed to an overall decrease in airfare for 2016.
Additionally, the ARC reported that total transactions increased 5.8% in 2016, with a strong rise in cash transactions.
