Myanmar Airways International (MAI) was founded in 1993 as an international airline operating in Myanmar. The MAI fleet consists of new Airbus A320 aircraft and the airline has met all Myanmar Civil Aviation requirements as well as the operating standards of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). Airline Ratings awarded MAI its highest, seven-star rating for safety and product.
MAI’s route network reaches between Yangon and Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Gaya, Guangzhou and Kolkata, as well as between Mandalay and Bangkok. The airline also have five routes into China, including Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Hefei, Nanchang, and Fuzhou. There are also charter flights to Seoul and Osaka.
International partner airlines include Air France, Korean Air, Asiana Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Garuda Indonesia and Sri Lankan Airlines.
