We are looking for writers with proven expertise and experience in creating compelling content for websites, newsletters, blogs, social media, white papers, etc. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of writing articles that increase engagement and expand digital reach, boost brand awareness and drive value through online content. They will also be responsible to research on topics related to travel and aviation, generate ideas for new content, support the editorial team, proofread, and execute communication plans. At least a bachelor’s degree and relevant experience is mandatory; a strong portfolio of published content will be a definite advantage.
Duties and responsibilities
- Write clear editorial and marketing copy to promote our clients and services
- Prepare well-structured drafts using CMS
- Proofread and edit newsletters, blogs, and social media posts before publication
- Coordinate with the editorial, marketing, and design teams to finalize content for our owned media platforms
- Assist the marketing team in developing content for advertising campaigns
- Research industry-related topics
- Create content to drive leads and subscribers and use SEO best practices to generate traffic to our site and social media handles
- Identify gaps in existing content and recommend ways of improving it
Skills and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, or related field
- Excellent writing and editing skills in English
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively
- Proven track record as content writer, copywriter, or a relevant role in marketing communication
- Portfolio of published articles
- Hands-on experience with CMS like WordPress, Weebly, etc.
- More than passable knowledge of digital marketing tactics, including SEO, email marketing and web analytics
- That superhuman ability to smile and perform under tight timelines
- At least three years’ experience writing for journals, preferably travel and aviation-related
