Mongolia’s Hunnu Air Eyes TVS-2DTS Props

Based in Mongolia’s capital Ulaanbaatar, Hunnu Air (MR) has expressed an interest in acquiring the TVS-2DTS, a Russian-built single turboprop aircraft designed to replace the An-2 on commercial passenger flights across Siberia and Russia’s Far East. The Mongolian carrier is expected to sign an agreement for up to six aircraft of the type.
Hunnu Air will presumably use the aircraft for flights to more remote regions in Mongolia. The airline’s fleet currently includes two ATR72-500s and three Fokker 50s, which are being used to serve 12 destinations across Mongolia, China, and Russia.
