Kazakhstan’s flag carrier Air Astana will add service to Germany from Atyrau, scheduling non-stop flights between Atyrau (GUW) and Frankfurt (FRA), for the upcoming summer season. Commencing March 26, 2018, Air Astana will operate this route twice weekly on Airbus A321 aircraft.

Atyrau is a city on the border between Europe and Asia, a port on the Caspian Sea, and a pier on the Ural River. For many travelers, Atyrau is just the perfect hub between the two continents. The city is home to a couple of good museums, and history buffs can make a half-day trip to the remains of the medieval settlement of Saraychik.
