ACHMA ASOKAN ON AFRICAN AVIATION
Aviation Week Africa, AWA, brings together key players in the aviation industry to foster innovation, enhance connectivity, promote synergies, discuss opportunities, challenges, and the future of air travel across the continent. The event is invaluable for airline executives, policymakers, aviation authorities, and industry innovators committed to enhancing Africa’s air connectivity and infrastructure.
Set to take place in Livingstone, Zambia, from April 2 – 5, 2025, the central theme is ‘Sustaining Aviation in Africa through Collaboration and Innovation’. It aims to drive discussions on sustainability, technology, and regional connectivity. Panel discussions and workshops aiming to boost infrastructure investment, reduce operational costs, improve safety, and enhance air travel accessibility are among the highlights of AWA 2025.
A key attraction of AWA is the exhibition and airshow, showcasing the latest advancements in aviation technology, aircraft models, and aviation services. Airlines, aircraft manufacturers, MRO providers, and service suppliers will present their innovations to a global audience.
As a surprise addition the Zambia Air Force (ZAF) has confirmed its participation, reinforcing the importance of collaboration between military and civilian aviation sectors in driving the industry forward. The growing role of youth empowerment and corporate social responsibility (CSR) in aviation is a key theme for this edition of AWA.
