Norse slates more CPT flights, adds Bangkok

Norse Atlantic Airways is pioneering low-cost long-haul travel from South Africa, connecting Cape Town (CPT) with exciting experiences and opportunities to connect to destinations in Europe, the US, and soon Asia via London Gatwick (LGW). The new seasonal service is slated to operate from October 2025 – April 2026.
Norse Atlantic Airways holds two Air Operators Certificates – one in Norway and one in the UK – operating on routes that connect popular international destinations, such as Cape Town – London Gatwick, Los Angeles – Athens, and London – New York. From October 26, 2025, the airline will add four weekly flights between LGW and Bangkok.
Like Cape Town, Bangkok is considered a sunshine destination for the European winter season. Bjørn Tore Larsen, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Norse Atlantic Airways, said: “This addition (Bangkok) not only strengthens our existing network between Asia but also builds on our routes from London Gatwick to destinations across the Atlantic and South Africa. For us it’s all about offering more travel options at great prices without compromising on comfort and service for those looking to enjoy a beautiful and warm winter sunshine destination.”
Karin Matodes, Chief Commercial Director of AirlinePros South Africa, continued: “Norse Atlantic Airways has enjoyed a very successful season that started October 28, 2024 to date. The exciting news is that Norse is committed to this route and has loaded flights on the Norse website and GDS for travel starting end of October 2025. More inventory will be loaded until April 2026.”
