Meet your instructor

Gavin Eccles

Gavin has worked worldwide to link Aviation and Tourism development and is associated with airlines, airports, and tourism boards. Previous roles have included development in British Airways, consultancy projects for United Airlines, American Airlines, Qantas, and supporting the development of low-cost carriers to tourist destinations. Gavin has been the advisor to the Board of Visit Portugal on aviation development and worked on numerous projects with ANA Airports Portugal on opening international air routes to the country. In addition, Gavin has worked as CCO of the Portuguese Airline, Azores Airlines.  Gavin is presently working on air services development projects across the Caribbean, Europe, and the Middle East, and regularly comments on the links between aviation and tourism. In addition, he has written whitepapers and academic articles and book chapters that discuss how airlines, airports and tourism boards need to be aligned and work together.  Gavin is a Professor of Aviation at numerous schools and Universities.
