  • From July 10, 2025, Ethiopian Airlines will offer four weekly flights from its base in Addis Ababa to Hanoi.
  • From July 5, the airline will add 4x weekly flights to Porto, Portugal, via Madrid.
  • A thrice-weekly service to Hyderabad, India, is slated to start from June 16, 2025.
  • When customers transfer between flights, the airline requires a minimum amount of time to guarantee a smooth connection and delivery of any baggage. Minimum Connection Times (MCT) vary by airport, type of connection, and between airlines.   • A visa on arrival (tourist visa only) will be granted for eligible countries. Find the list here: https://www.evisa.gov.et/information/touristOnArrivalVisa*
  • E-Visas can be obtained before departure at https://e-visa,gov.et. Passengers must ensure that their approved e-visa is secured before departure.*
  • An e-visa payment receipt alone will not serve as approval for an arrival visa.*
  • If the online visa application is not secured beforehand, passengers will be required to repay the visa fee upon arrival in Addis Ababa.*
  • Passengers who do not apply for a visa online and opt for a visa on arrival will need to pay the visa fee upon arrival in USD, EUR, GBP and CAD. Card payments are also acceptable.*
  • Pax entering Ethiopia for purposes other than tourism, must have their visa application approved by the Immigration and Citizenship Service before departure.*
  • Passports must be valid for at least six months to enter Ethiopia.
  • Addis Ababa Bole International Airport is one of the busiest airports in Africa, able to handle 22 million international and two million domestic passengers per year.
