PW expands domestic network with new route to Iringa

Starting March 3, Precision Air will operate three flights per week between its base in Dar es Salaam (DAR) and Iringa, a large town in the southern highlands of Tanzania.

The new service will operate on a Monday, Wednesday, and Friday via Dodoma, Tanzania’s capital, and will radically reduce travel times between the Iringa and DAR.

For visitors, Iringa’s popular attractions include the Ruaha National Park, one of the biggest reserves in Tanzania and home to one of the largest elephant populations on the planet. Other top sites include the Isimila Stone Age Site, and the Iringa Boma Regional Museum and Cultural Centre. For those customers with commercial interests, Iringa is an important agricultural area.

Patrick Mwanri, Group Managing Director and CEO of Precision Air, underscored the airline’s commitment to enhancing connectivity and providing affordable air transport solutions to more Tanzanians. He also described Iringa as a region with immense economic potential. The CEO continued: “We remain steadfast in our mission to serve Tanzania by offering dependable air transport connections that meet the needs of our passengers. Our aim is also to support the government’s efforts to promote tourism in the southern circuit. Our flights will conveniently connect tourists to Ruaha National Park and other attractions.”
