Zambia’s Proflight Adds Kalabo to Domestic Network

Proflight Zambia (PO) has announced the launch of a new domestic route from Zambia’s capital Lusaka to Kalabo in the Western Province, 44 miles from the Angolan border.
The 2x weekly service is operated on Cessna (single turboprop) 208 Caravan aircraft, and commenced on March 15, the first scheduled service to Kalabo.
The flight will allow passengers easy connections to domestic and international services at Lusaka international airport. Proflight Zambia operates a comprehensive domestic route throughout Zambia with international routes to Durban King Shaka in South Africa, and Lilongwe in Malawi.
The small town of Kalabo, located by the Luanginga River is the gateway to Liuwa Plain National Park – the biggest attraction here, offering spectacular views, fantastic photographic opportunities, abundant wildlife – all completely natural and un-commercialized.
