AirlinePros attends IATA’s AGM in India

AirlinePros proudly participated in the 81st IATA Annual General Meeting (AGM), hosted by IndiGo in India. Bringing together more than 1,700 industry leaders and key stakeholders, the event was a vital platform for industry experts to discuss pressing issues, share insights, and explore opportunities for collaboration. A highlight was the strong outlook for airline profitability, demonstrating resilience despite current headwinds.
As a strategic partner of IATA, AirlinePros benefits from increased industry profile and the opportunity to engage directly with representatives and subject matter experts through IATA working groups. These interactions allow us to contribute to the setting of industry standards, stay ahead of industry needs, and gain valuable knowledge to better support our partners.
AirlinePros Group CEO, Achma Asokan-Foster, said: “Aviation in India has amazing potential and it was evident at the AGM in Delhi with the upbeat atmosphere and most importantly the positive and reassuring message delivered by the Prime Minister, HE Mr. Narendra Modi. As an IATA Strategic Partner, AirlinePros is committed to provide the support and services to make it happen!”
IATA Director General, Willie Walsh, emphasized the importance of the industry when he said: “We turned flying from a luxury for a privileged few into a safe global mass transit network serving nearly five billion travelers a year. And billions more deserve the prosperity that aviation brings – the places it makes possible, the jobs it sustains, the trade it supports, and the dreams it fulfils.”
Next year’s AGM will be held in Rio de Janeiro, with LATAM as the host airline. The agenda will continue to focus on familiar industry issues, strengthening the industry’s resilience and growth.
