ITA AIRWAYS
ITA Airways is owned by the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance for the exercise of business in the air transport sector. The airline started active service in 2020. Being the flag carrier of Italy, it replaced its predecessor, Alitalia. The airline’s main hub is Rome Fiumicino Airport and flies to several destinations across the world, including countries in Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Americas.
ITA Airways has a fleet of next-generation aircraft relying on advanced technologies to optimize the efficiency and quality of the aircraft and thereby reduce environmental impact. The aircraft consists of Airbus A350-900, Airbus A220-300, Airbus A320neo, and Airbus A330-900neo. The technologically advanced aircraft ensures the airline’s goal of serving the passengers with more comfort, quality, and efficiency, with a focus on lessening the negative impacts on the environment.
ITA Airways has interline agreements with Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa, Neos, Qantas, Swiss International Airlines, Virgin Atlantic, and Vistara. ITA Airways announces that it has obtained the renewal of the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) certification, a program of the International Air Transport Association, IATA, to evaluate the control and operational management systems of an airline.
